Human Rights Award in Kosovo

At the Dokufest in Prizren, filmmaker Ben Kempas and consulting producer Magdalena Hutter received the festival's Human Rights Award for UPSTREAM BATTLE.

UPSTREAM BATTLE premieres in Munich, Kosovo, Toronto

The world premiere of the feature-length version of UPSTREAM BATTLE took place at the Munich International Documentary Festival on 2 May 2008, attended by Wendy and Merv George of the Hoopa Tribe.

In August 2008, the Dokufest in Kosovo hosted the first international screenings of the film.

The Toronto Intenational Film Festival has announced its selection of UPSTREAM BATTLE as one of around 30 documentaries to be screened at this year's edition. Toronto is regarded as one of the top festivals in the world.

UPSTREAM BATTLE is directed by Ben Kempas and produced by Joachim Schroeder (Preview Production).
